text-align: justify;\">Al inaugurar las actividades de aniversario en el Anexo a Rector\u00eda, el Doctor Enrique V\u00e1zquez Fern\u00e1ndez, Coordinador General de Posgrados, en representaci\u00f3n del Maestro Alejandro Palma Su\u00e1rez, Rector de la UATx, refiri\u00f3 que los productos expuestos representan el resultado de un trabajo acad\u00e9mico y tambi\u00e9n el esfuerzo por hacer que ese conocimiento pueda ser consultado, comprendido y aprovechado.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Asimismo, enfatiz\u00f3 que en apego a los principios del Modelo Humanista Integrador basado en Capacidades (MHIC), el quehacer investigativo y la divulgaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica trascienden las aulas para insertarse directamente en las comunidades y contribuir a la transformaci\u00f3n de su entorno, reconociendo la entrega y trayectoria de las generaciones de investigadores, docentes y estudiantes que han consolidado este centro a lo largo de casi cuatro d\u00e9cadas de historia universitaria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">En su momento la Doctora Alba M\u00f3nica Montiel Gonz\u00e1lez, Directora del CICB manifest\u00f3 que a 39 a\u00f1os de su creaci\u00f3n, el Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n es un referente regional y nacional en investigaci\u00f3n sobre biodiversidad, biotecnolog\u00eda e interacciones bi\u00f3ticas, \u00e1reas que generan ciencia con impacto social.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Destac\u00f3 el fortalecimiento de las colecciones biol\u00f3gicas, las cuales son pilares clave para el desarrollo de sus l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n: el herbario institucional TLXM, fundado en 1998 e indexado internacionalmente por el Jard\u00edn Bot\u00e1nico de Nueva York, el Jard\u00edn Etnobiol\u00f3gico Tlaxcallan (JET), un espacio vivo dedicado a salvaguardar la biodiversidad, revalorizar el patrimonio biocultural y estrechar lazos con comunidades originarias mediante cact\u00e1ceas, agaves, polinizadores, mariposario, banco de semillas y terrario micol\u00f3gico, as\u00ed como la reciente Colecci\u00f3n Yoyoli, enfocada en el resguardo y estudio de mariposas y hormigas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Por su parte la Doctora Mar\u00eda Mercedes Rodr\u00edguez Palma, responsable del JET, explic\u00f3 que los libros re\u00fanen informaci\u00f3n sobre la diversidad vegetal del estado, sus caracter\u00edsticas biol\u00f3gicas, sus usos tradicionales y las posibilidades de aprovechamiento sustentable. Tambi\u00e9n acercan el conocimiento cient\u00edfico a distintos sectores de la sociedad y ofrecen herramientas para su consulta y divulgaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Subray\u00f3 \u00a0que estos materiales son resultado del trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n y colaboraci\u00f3n entre especialistas del CICB, investigadores del Instituto de Biolog\u00eda de la Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico, \u00a0representantes de la Secretar\u00eda de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales, as\u00ed como de la participaci\u00f3n y los saberes de diversas comunidades de Tlaxcala.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Son \u00e1reas que genera ciencia con impacto social y una s\u00f3lida vinculaci\u00f3n con comunidades tlaxcaltecas.
